Georgia CHARTER Fishing Areas

Georgia FISHING CHARTER - St. simons island
Georgia Fishing is excellent due to three major rivers dump into the ocean in the coastal georgia area, creating a murky-looking but nutrient-rich habitat for fish, similar only to the Louisiana Delta area. The waters are home to all types of saltwater fish, plus land wildlife including Wild Horses, Hogs, Blue and White Heron, Egrets, and Pelicans. Georgia's Saltwater Fishing and The Golden Isles of Georgia offers great fishing.

St. Simons Island Georgia and the surrounding waters teem with many species of fish including; Shark, Tarpon, Redfish, Trout and many, many more. All within sight of the local beaches. St. Simons and the Coastal Georgia waters are sought after by Anglers for these top shelf fish species. Fishing in Georgia is dependable and always fun with our experienced fishing guides!

Jekyll Island Georgia Fishing CHARTERS
Coastal Georgia Inshore Fishing areas are home to an amazing variety of wildlife! Shrimp grow in the grasses of the St. Simons and Jekyll Island backwater. Fish lay eggs on the full moon tidal stages so that their eggs cling to marsh grasses, where they will be safe from predatory fish as they hatch. Redfish spawn in our area during the Fall months. The Bull Redfish migrate to the beaches to eat menhaden and mullet and to lay eggs. After the spawn and during October, catching 5 to 15 Redfish, each weighing more than 30 pounds is common during a georgia fishing trip.

Georgia Charter Fishing the deep sea areas and offshore fishing areas in coastal Georgia are under-fished and overlooked. Georgia enjoys this reputation for our charter fishing customers looking to hire a fishing guide. Georgia's Deep Sea Artificial reefs create a habitat for an incredible variety of game fish. The murky water turns green about 10 miles offshore. It lightens to blue and becomes more and more clear as you travel east into the Atlantic Ocean.

Georgia Fishing Charters enoys an excellent offshore reputation for producing large bottom fish and pelagics (migrating fish). For more about Jekyll Island Georgia Fishing, More on Georgia Charter Fishing.

Brunswick Georgia CHARTER Fishing
The Brunswick Georgia Fishing area is rich in backwater and inshore marshes, oyster beds, and huge estuary systems loaded with Trout, Redfish, and Flounder. When fresh water meets salt water (also known as brackish water) Georgia shrimp are plentiful making tasty offerings to the Trout and Redfish engulfed in the coastal georgia waters.

During the Fall, (heaviest season for shrimp movement) thousands of small Redfish, also known as Red Drum, appear. A popular inshore game fish, reds move to inshore waters to feed on shrimp, as do saltwater speckled Trout. Both are excellent targets for light tackle fishing. Speckled Trout is hard to beat as table fare.

Brackish water in this area holds millions of bait fish (Pogies or Menhaden). Predator fish are attracted to these bait fish, bringing in Sharks, Tarpon, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Triple Tail, Jack Crevalle, and other species. Nearly every fish in the ocean is attracted to the oily, smelly menhaden, best used as live bait, especially for King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel.
